Holidaymakers booking with On the Beach (OTB) can once again benefit from Price Drop Protection, a guarantee that refunds customers the difference if the cost of their holiday decreases up to 60 days before departure.
A Popular Initiative Returns
The initiative was originally introduced in January for a limited two-week period, exclusively for summer 2025 holidays. However, due to overwhelming success and customer demand, OTB has decided to bring it back indefinitely.
Since its launch, the scheme has led to thousands of pounds being refunded to customers, with some holidaymakers receiving significant amounts back. One customer, who booked a seven-night family holiday to Centara Mirage in Dubai, was refunded £573 after the price dropped.
“Phenomenal” Customer Response
OTB’s Chief Customer Officer, Zoe Harris, described the reaction to the initiative as “nothing short of phenomenal.” She highlighted how customers were drawn to the guarantee, appreciating the reassurance of securing the lowest price for their summer getaway.
While OTB has not disclosed how much the scheme has influenced bookings, Harris emphasised that the company had seen an average refund of over £150 per holiday. She added:
“We knew we couldn’t stop there. We had to bring it back for everyone who hasn’t booked yet because no one should miss out on the chance to save big on their dream summer escape.”
Customers Reap the Rewards
Many customers have already benefited from Price Drop Protection, with some expressing their surprise and satisfaction at receiving refunds.
Sharnjeet Gill, who received a £573 refund, described it as feeling “almost too good to be true,” praising OTB for honouring post-booking price drops. Another traveller, who was refunded £371 on a family holiday to Egypt, said the initiative provided peace of mind when booking.
